Job Description –

The Production Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating, organizing, and managing production schedules to ensure timely and efficient operations within the production planning and control department. This role involves close collaboration with various departments including procurement, manufacturing, quality assurance, and logistics to ensure optimal resource utilization and on-time delivery of products.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
    • Proficiency in using scheduling software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
    • Problem-solving skills to address scheduling conflicts and production issues.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilites

  • Create, update, and manage production schedules based on sales orders, forecast demand, and production capacity.
  • Monitor production progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with the procurement and inventory teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and components.
  • Optimize the use of production resources including labor, equipment, and materials to meet production targets.
  • Act as a liaison between production, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Communicate production schedules and any changes to relevant departments to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, schedule adherence, and capacity utilization.
  • Address and resolve production scheduling conflicts and issues as they arise.
